When you join HSGA, you will receive notifications about workshops, meetings, and other upcoming events within Hawaii. With your consent, you’ll also receive the monthly publication, Sheep Industry News, published by the American Sheep Industry Association (ASI).

 

This publication features engaging articles on various topics, including health issues, legislative updates, and national events within the sheep industry. Stay informed about developments at the national level! Additionally, you’ll receive a weekly email providing the latest updates in the sheep industry.

HSGA Mission

The board’s mission is to promote networking and advocacy for the shepherd and goatherd community. To support this effort, we invite you to renew your membership. First, please complete this Google form with your contact information. Next, use this PayPal link to pay your membership fees, which include three options outlined below.

 

Our Yearly Membership Types

We have offered our members:
FAMACHA workshops, shearing demonstrations, sheepdog demonstrations, animal care, and more.
Shearing equipment available for a fee; please see our loaning policy for details.

As a member, you may also request additional publications from ASI, which include lamb recipes, processing information, meat cuts, and wool production.

Regular Member

$25

Any producer of sheep or goats who has an interest in sheep or goats in the state of Hawai’i can become a member. Each member agrees to comply with the Association’s Constitution and By-Laws and must pay any membership fees and meet any other conditions as may be prescribed by the Board of Directors. Each membership in the Hawaii Sheep and Goat Association will have one vote.

 

Youth Member

$5

Any youth members active in FFA or 4-H desiring membership in the Association.

Corporate Member

$50

Any family farm, corporate farm, or business involved in sheep and goat production, processing, or marketing can become a member.

The Corporate Membership can be applied to up to four people, with discounted workshop rates.

All Memberships are annual, and the membership period runs from January to December, regardless of when you join.

What are some of the Member Benefits?
